AI Form Builder: What It Generates and What Stays Manual
Tools by task - - Owen Castellano
On the pricing page of an AI form builder, the AI is rarely a single feature. It is a line with a number next to it, and the number differs by plan. That is the first thing to read.
An AI form builder is a form or survey tool that uses a language model for three jobs: drafting the questions, suggesting what to ask next, and summarizing the answers afterwards. Everything else, from sharing a link to storing responses, works as it does in any form tool. Two catalog entries show how differently the three jobs are packaged: Formaloo and BlockSurvey.
What the AI part covers
Formaloo's pricing page, as of November 2026, lists AI-powered surveys and quizzes on every plan. The question generator, which suggests the next question or field from the form already built, plus AI report analysis, start on the Pro plan. The page does not give an amount of AI credits per plan. It says only that each AI module uses credits and that more can be bought without upgrading.
BlockSurvey's page is more specific. It puts a number on both jobs: AI survey creation and AI data analysis, each with its own quota per plan. The creation quota is the one that matters for drafting.
The free plan lists 3 AI survey creations, Standard 50, Premium 100 and Team 250, per the BlockSurvey pricing page. The page does not say in the text what period the quota covers, so confirm that before counting on it. Three drafts is enough to see whether the tool's output suits you. It is not enough to run a monthly feedback cycle.

Where answers go
Export is the limit that lands after the form is live. BlockSurvey's comparison matrix names CSV/XLSX, PDF, PPT and SPSS downloads, but which plan gets which is not clear from the pricing page. Formaloo's FAQ says only that it offers various methods of exporting. Both are answerable with one email or one trial account, and cheaper to ask before the responses pile up in the tool.
What stays manual
The features listed on both pages are drafting, follow-up and analysis. None of them covers deciding who should be asked, or whether a drafted question leads the respondent toward an answer. A generated survey of ten questions still needs a person to cut the three that nobody will act on. Analysis has the same limit: a summary of open-text answers is useful as a first pass, and wrong in ways only someone who has read the raw answers will notice.
Pick by the number that will run out first. For a one-off survey that is the draft quota; for a form that stays live it is the plan's response and export terms.
